Corporations, especially as they get bigger, frequently forget what it's like for small businesses and companies run by the family. Wal-Mart is a good example. When the business gets too big, it runs the risk of losing its way.

As I mention in the show today, it's been refreshing to read Stephanie Stuckey's updates on re-building the Stuckey's brand now that it's back in the hands of family. As a small business owner myself, I get the struggle. The hustle. The side gigs. Things we do to pay the bills. And as we await that "overnight success" after nearly 13 years of hard work, I will continue to invest my time and effort into a brand - SciFi4Me.com - that I truly believe can be an alternative to the shill media, the political agenda media, and the "fans" who praise everything corporate because they want to keep their access.

The staff is all-volunteer, always has been, and that's something I'd love to change. In the meantime, we'll just keep doing what we're doing, all we can the best we can. Anything less is disrespectful to our audience.
