Our mission here at SciFi4Me is to provide objective, accurate news and well-reasoned opinions without malice or prejudice. You can disagree with us, and we won't call you names. We respect the fan community, and we promise to deliver top quality news and opinion, and we'll make sure you know the difference between the two.
So, in today's #LiveFromTheBunker on #SciFi4MeTV -- you can watch it here: https://lnkd.in/d4-NaG6C -- I talk about the interview with Frank Oz and his comments about how the Muppets now have no soul after being gobbled up by the corporate machine that is Disney.
Corporations, especially as they get bigger, frequently forget what it's like for small businesses and companies run by the family. Wal-Mart is a good example. When the business gets too big, it runs the risk of losing its way.
As I mention in the show today, it's been refreshing to read Stephanie Stuckey's updates on re-building the Stuckey's brand now that it's back in the hands of family. As a small business owner myself, I get the struggle. The hustle. The side gigs. Things we do to pay the bills. And as we await that "overnight success" after nearly 13 years of hard work, I will continue to invest my time and effort into a brand - SciFi4Me.com - that I truly believe can be an alternative to the shill media, the political agenda media, and the "fans" who praise everything corporate because they want to keep their access.
The staff is all-volunteer, always has been, and that's something I'd love to change. In the meantime, we'll just keep doing what we're doing, all we can the best we can. Anything less is disrespectful to our audience.
Countdown to 1000 begins Monday!

A #SciFi4MeTV update from Mr. Boss: we're back tomorrow to talk CinemaCon with Paul Dergarabedian on an all-new #LiveFromTheBunker!
So, there's this competition called "Top Host" over at iHeart Radio, the winner of which gets various and sundry prizes, including a six-episode show at iHeart and a guest appearance on Ryan Seacrest's podcast.
I mention this because I've thrown my hat in the ring just for giggles. But it appears that I'm still worth a look, as I've made it past the first couple of rounds and am in the Top 10 for the group I'm in.
Now we get down to brass tacks. The next elimination round takes the group down to the Top 5. I'm currently 6th. This might present an issue next Thursday.
All that to say that if you so choose, you can cast a vote and help me out here:
